In this thesis, we study the impact of forest treatment variables such as clear-cutting and forest retention patterns on the resource use of Brown Creepers. We assume that locations of birds are indicative of their use of resources available at that location. We also create covariates for the purpose of studying the social awareness of Brown Creepers. In particular, we were interested in knowing if these birds exhibited a preference to be far or near the nest of other birds or and their response to the points of other birds. We modeled each bird separately but averaged their estimated parameters to understand the Brown Creepers on a population level.
